Oldcastle's new Lebanon plant sits on 26 acres just east of Nashville. This ultra modern facility was designed to efficiently manufacture both dry and wetcast products. The two manufacturing bays flank a center core where 100 tons of cement and 400 tons of aggregates are fed into the totally enclosed batching and mixing system by a 25 ton "grizzly". The latest in environmental protection and material processing equipment are used. The quality control department servicing both operations is state-of-the-art.
Our 45,000 sf wetcast bay is serviced by 25 and 15 ton overhead cranes and a full service reinforcement fabricating department. Automated shearlines and mat benders help keep quality top notch. With high intensity lighting and utilities like air, steam and hydraulics piped throughout the plant one might think he is in a supermarket instead of a precast plant.
The drycast pipe side is equally modern. Our Hawkeye "pipe plus" machine makes round and elliptical sizes from 15 to 72 inches in diameter. This modern fully automated system means quality day in and day out. The pipe operation in Lebanon compliments the broad manhole business at Oldcastle's Cloud Precast facility in nearby LaVergne, TN.
